CUTE BUT CASUAL

I love bright and bold colors and this look is not the exception.  I found this neon yellow sweater from Banana Republic on major sale and I'm so glad I picked it up.  It's the perfect lightweight top that will work in both fall and spring (even hot Texas spring!).  They only had a medium, but I got it anyway as I love the slouchy / baggy look on the weekends.  And boyfriend jeans are just so darn comfortable!

BIKER MEETS ATHLETIC

So I'm completely obsessed with this combo.  I love a little sport flair paired with edgy leather, but a touch of girly with leopard heels.  I've had this faux leather jacket from Express for years and still love it and looks just as good as day one.  I thought this look was perfect to showcase this lovely Boucler Bracelet courtesy of Moni Bijoux.  Fun fact: Boucler is French for buckle.  Love the silver glitter accent and is a great layering piece for an arm party!  If you haven't visited their little shop, you should definitely check it out.  Have you entered my latest giveaway?  Enter here to win a fabulous Moni Bijoux statement necklace, today's the last day!!  Scroll for outfit details.

ADD SOME NEON TO YOUR DAY

Top: Express // Skirt: J. Crew // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Shoes: Target (old, but these are very similar) // Necklace: Banana Republic (old) // Bracelets: You can find here and Forever 21 // Earrings: J. Crew (old) // Rings: Seen here

Adding some neon to your day will instantly brighten your mood, not mention your face and complexion.  The easiest way to do this is, is to wear a neon blouse.  This is what I did here, then paired it with a more subdued skirt, but it still blends well because of the green piping.  I love this fab skirt from J. Crew.  Check out my blog post here to see how I got it at a bargain price!  Who loves the Portofino Blouse from Express?  I do!  I already own about 6 different colors.  I personally don't think there's anything wrong with that - I know I love it, so therefore I'm going to wear them ALL.  I went a little funky by adding some ankle booties, a statement necklace and bold earrings.  I know some might think neon is so last year, but I still love it and plan on wearing it over and over again.  Will you keep wearing Neon?

FEEL FLOWS

I fell in love with this dress by Line & Dot as soon as I saw it on Piperlime.  The color is spot on and works for both summer and fall.  Just throw a leather jacket over and you're all set.  It would also look great when paired with a bold statement necklace like this one.  The shape of this neckline really flatters and shows off your shoulders.  I'm also not a huge fan of a hi-lo dress or skirt, but this one's so subtle that it works.  I am so happy with this flowy look and can't wait to wear it during the fall and winter with various jackets and boots!

Shoes: Target (old) these are cute // Clutch: Banana Republic (old) // Earrings: Francesca's (this pair is adorable) // Bracelets: Target, Forever 21, Express // Ring set: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: Target

ALL ABOUT PRINTS

You can never go wrong with prints.  Especially with printed pants.  These from Nordstrom by RBL, have become my recent favorite pair to wear.  They are so comfortable and because they're a bit higher waisted, they are more flattering.  Here, I'm wearing a basic black tee, but to dress it up a little I threw a blazer over.  It's a real carefree look that is perfect for the office and the weekend.
This staple piece will take any look to the next level.  Hope you enjoy!

TRIBAL FRENZY

I'm so excited to share with you my first outfit post.  I teamed up with my best friend and photographer, Jennifer Crenshaw, to create new looks for my readers.  I think they came out great and I am so pleased with the outcome.  Please head over to Jennifer's website to see her amazing work and all that she has to offer.  She specializes in weddings, portraits, events and artistic photography.  Take a look at the debut of our collaboration and let me know what you think!

Tribal prints are all the rage right now.  You can find them pretty much anywhere.
I went with this print in a maxi dress. Maxi dresses are usually way too long for me, except for this one! Considering I'm only 5' tall, that's a miracle. Of course I had to pair it with 4" heels. The chunky heel and intricate basket weave detail makes these a great fit with any tribal look. Dresses like these are so multi-functional and I love how this one has a slit which makes it incredibly comfortable. This one came with a belt which I chose to use, but you can easily remove it and replace it with one of your own. Pairing this with a bright coral blazer and long gold tassel necklace completes the look. And of course you can't forget sunglasses! How would you interpret the tribal trend? I would love to know your ideas!
