ADD SOME NEON TO YOUR DAY

Adding some neon to your day will instantly brighten your mood, not mention your face and complexion.  The easiest way to do this is, is to wear a neon blouse.  This is what I did here, then paired it with a more subdued skirt, but it still blends well because of the green piping.  I love this fab skirt from J. Crew.  Check out my blog post here to see how I got it at a bargain price!  Who loves the Portofino Blouse from Express?  I do!  I already own about 6 different colors.  I personally don't think there's anything wrong with that - I know I love it, so therefore I'm going to wear them ALL.  I went a little funky by adding some ankle booties, a statement necklace and bold earrings.  I know some might think neon is so last year, but I still love it and plan on wearing it over and over again.  Will you keep wearing Neon?

One brand I'm currently coveting is Lovers + Friends, which is where my dress is from.  They are the epitome of boho chic and California style.  Effortlessly throw on one of their dresses and top it off with some accessories, you will be the IT girl.  I decided to pair this dress with a mint blazer and some red sandals.  I hope you hopped on the Prabal Gurung for Target train, because I wear these sandals with everything!  My friend, Amanda (of The Wardrobe Connoisseur) lent me these incredible earrings by Nicola Bathie.  They are handmade and gorgeous!  I highly suggest you check out her website.  Random fun fact - this fountain is where my husband proposed to me and completely swept me off my feet!  What a great memory!

FEEL FLOWS

I fell in love with this dress by Line & Dot as soon as I saw it on Piperlime.  The color is spot on and works for both summer and fall.  Just throw a leather jacket over and you're all set.  It would also look great when paired with a bold statement necklace like this one.  The shape of this neckline really flatters and shows off your shoulders.  I'm also not a huge fan of a hi-lo dress or skirt, but this one's so subtle that it works.  I am so happy with this flowy look and can't wait to wear it during the fall and winter with various jackets and boots!

Who says you can't wear sequins during the day?  I say - do it!  I love combining prints and I think the stripes of the top and the tribal print of the pants play nice off each other.  I just love this sequin top from J.CREW.  I got it on major sale which is a big plus in my book.  I also really love this one and the print is gorgeous!  Would you wear sequins during the day?  On another note, the weather here in Texas is getting out of control.  Who else is ready for Fall?  Also, if you haven't done so already, please follow me on Bloglovin'!!
